Backpacking Checklist

With so many small things to remember it’s easy to forget something on a backpacking trip, and there is no Mpreis or Safeway in the back country! Below is a list of everything I could think of, there is a link at the end to a single page print out.

The Bare Necessities:

Tent (with footprint for cold or wet weather)

Weather Appropriate Sleeping Bags (Optional: inflatable pillows or a rolled up sweater works fine too)

Sleeping Mats (with repair kit)

Headlamps, Solar Lamp (LuminAid)

Water Bottles & Water Filter

First-Aid Kit: Antibacterial Gel, Bandages, Gauze, Duct Tape, Aspirin, Tweezers, Safety Pin, Needle & Thread, Gloves, Emergency Blanket, Matches, Whistle, Swiss Army Knife, Paracord

ID’s, Reservations, Maps
